Alex began piano at age 5 and saxophone not long after that. He’s performed around the country and written 50+ songs with a primary focus on jazz, groove and funk. For more than a decade The Wali Sanga has been the band used to propel his output.
Their crowd-funded album Big Ears was released in 2019, followed by a Big Ears remix project featuring various artists and approaches. The band’s 2023 release Stacking Blocks mined Alex’s newfound fatherhood and featured 2 core songs and 4 remixes. The Wali Sanga’s catalogue is available for sync licensing and was featured in a 2023 Sony Global digital spot.
